ABOUT CEBS
Building the Church of Tomorrow Today
CEBS is an exciting group for children (sort of like scouts) connected to the Anglican Church in Australia.
CEBS originally stood for Church of England Boys Society but when the Church of England changed it's
name to the Anglican church in Australia, we decided to keep the name CEBS.
The first Branch of CEBS was opened at Kew in Victoria in 1914 and soon Branches were established all around Australia.
CEBS aims to do the following...
- Bring children and youth to commit themselves to Christ and his Church.
- To help them to develop spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.
- to develop strong branches of the Society with trained leaders in local churches
- to support the vision and mission of the local church
- for children and youth to meet together
- to encourage children and youth in Godly living
- To encourage them to live according to the CEBS rule of life.
Vision of the Society...
for children, youths and their families
to become Christians and together, with their
Leaders, grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
